PBS is calling for entries in its LearningMedia’s Meet Me in DC contest.
As part of PBS’s ELECTION CENTRAL, students in kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to design an election poster focusing on issues that are important in their local communities. As the presidential primaries continue, kids can show what matters to them while learning about the election process. Two student winners (one K–5 and one 6–12) will win a trip for two to Washington, DC to see Congress in session, tour the White House, visit the set of television news program PBS NewsHour, and more.
Students who would like to apply can design their own poster or use PBS LearningMedia’s poster design tool. The official rules for the Meet Me in DC contest are available online. The deadline is March 31.
